it was the video where he talked about how he got into film and what he made in his younger years that showed me that the guy really has a passion for filming. there's a few games he actually enjoys too, like the castlevania games, and his review of the entire series was very much like his movie reviews where he talks about what he loves about the games so much (with some criticism aside). really, when his reviews aren't filled with "shit ass fuck diarrhea this sucks" and he shows his passion and love for something, they become so much more enjoyable.

>These videos will be simple looks at the movies and which actors killed each other on-screen the most often, done in a tournament style, with day by day elimination. It’s nothing too special, just something I whipped up quick as a little extension to Monster Madness.

Starts on November 6.

so i watched this last night with my friend

not nearly as bad as it could have potentially been, but the we both agreed the carpenter version still had more psychological/mystery to it.

bad points:
-tends to be too obvious--alien appears like every 10 minutes
-fairly uninteresting characters
-flamethrowers everywhere

-there are some plot/scene parallels/homage with the '82, although they usually have different outcomes

good points:
-at least with theatre surround sound volume, the film was suspenseful enough for the two of us were totally uncomfortable for the whole movie
-the girl is pretty cute :3

the characters are mostly uninteresting and feel like they're only there to bring up the bodycount

it basically goes through all the same motions as 1982 the thing only with weaker acting and and less interesting alien transformation sequences

the best part of the film visual effects wise was when they dissect the thing with a dude half digested inside of it (which was pretty much the only time they didn't use cg for the alien)

they tie it into the canon of 1982 the thing quite well, but it's unfortunately not as good of a movie. still the best movie i've seen in the theaters recently though

They're showing it on Teennick as part of their 90's block.

I just saw Contagion and it was a documentary without a narrator. It was pretty boring and somewhat pretentious, but Lawrence Fishburne's performance was pretty believable. The dialogue often came off as utilitarian and "disingenuous" at times. The whole movie felt like a scholarly attempt to educate people on the dangers of epidemic and the nature of them which didn't gel well, at all.

I don't know too much about movies but I thought this was a pretty poor waste of 12bux.

its just a generic run of the mill comic book movie and yeah it tries way too hard to be serious with people dying and trying to make you feel bad for this poor town in the wild west thats being abducted by aliens. also the ending is horrible and tons of shit makes no sense why the aliens are stealing gold, what planet ella is from, what her real form looks like, a bunch of takei shit that you wonder about daniel craig's background but it can all be attributed to amnesia, its fucking stupid

I'm home sick, so I figured I would see a movie about sick people. I feel like it did some things well, like people reacting hysterically and buying the whole blogging plot. However, it the movie was spoiled by having two many characters and jumping around too much. As soon as the credits rolled, I couldn't even recall the name of a single character in the film. Fishburne was however very good, but not good enough to carry the rest of the film.
>> ID: 9bd7b0 0 No. 17827
it started off pretty good, but then I dunno

after 20 minutes in the most emotionally charged part of the story happens and then they don't try to top it with anything
it's almost like they accidentally put the climax of the story @ the beginning of the movie. the blogger guy sideplot was interesting and fishbourne is good as other people mentioned but they don't save the movie

This here was pretty great. T'was a very romantic and emotional movie. Brad Pitt was excellent and Jonah Hill was remarkably decent. I didn't think he was gonna do so well in this. Things that really made this movie enjoyable for me were the music and the cinematography. There are a lot of nice shots of Oakland, the angles they chose for touchy scenes are nice, and the film just makes baseball look incredibly majestic.

I enjoyed this, it was fun to watch. I'd recommend it to anyone on the principle of it being a good film.

Apparently there is a dispute between 20th Century Fox and the main six voice actors in The Simpsons.

The Simpsons is probably going to get canceled, that is the joke, thank butt,

Fox just confirmed that even if they take the pay cut, they're cancelling the show after next season because it's no longer profitable.
