ok so since every thread is getting a multitude of replies about replays, how about a general replay thread? sticky this please? ill start off with one of the most bewildering games ive ever played like i dont even know where to begin on this guy. apart from that dumbass island steal, he misses his best chance to banshee harass me, then flies right by my gold expansion and does nothing about it, then he just abruptly stops producing units even though he is sitting on a mountain of resources and supply then to top it off he flies all of his buildings in opposite directions or prolong the game as much as possible
I'm not really sure if 9pool or 10pool is better but I felt like cheesing because I didn't want to play out my second ZvZ in a row. I think I should have dropped the first spine crawler earlier and sent a drone for a second one much earlier once my money started getting high. imo if you are early pooling another zerg it's absolutely integral to build at least one spine in their base because it forces them to pull workers off mining until they get lings up

All this talk about balance brings a question to my mind. If Zerg is having a hard time in the early game, wouldn't it help to give Zerglings faster base attack speed or something? It seems kind of dumb to nerf both races tier 1 play when you can just bump up Zergs and call it even.

Just wanted to say I've been trying the suggestions you gave me Wobble (Planetaries, rallying to natural, earlier depot etc) and I'm on a 4 game winning streak (this is a lot to me because I don't play that often because I fear the game). In lower leagues you shouldn't even really worry about builds and instead focus completely on always spending your money, not getting supply blocked, and making workers.
AIFP is right, for now just focus on spending a lot of money.

Alright guys here we go here's some info for this, the first Official FA Starcraft II tournament: WHEN/WHAT/HOW: Barring any major conflicts we're going to hold this tourney the first weekend of October (the 1st through 3rd) in lieu of our traditional SC2 night that week. The tournament will consist of several 1v1's between members of each team such that each member of a team will play a bo3 match with exactly one member of every other team. Every match won will mean a point for that player's team. I'm also going to be looking into some good FFA customs (roach snake) that each team will send one player to participate in. If at the end of the tournament some teams are still tied we'll hold ace matches between teams to determine the winner. MATCHUPS: Matchups will be done by ladder rank. Each person on a team will face the person on each other team whose league and ladder points are closest to their own at the time that the matchups are announced. I'm hoping to do one of these tourneys every month, so at the end of this tournament after a few days grace period (in case anyone wants to join/drop out) matchups for the NEXT tourney will be determined, accounting for how people's ladder ranks have changed. SIGN-UPS: What I'm going to do now is treat this thread as open sign-ups for the tournament. The tourney is going to be open to anybody with a ladder rank under the following stipulations: by the time matchups are determined you must have 20 ladder matches played if you are copper-gold rank or 35 matches played if you are plat-diamond rank. Everybody that signs up in this thread will be added to the player db on our old SC1 site: http://sc.fightingamphibians.org/ (note: I'm going to have to revamp the site a bit after I get internet back at home) Once we've got everyone in the database, we'll hold some kind of round-robin team-picking event. SC2 night tomorrow night (Thursday). Probably starting at 9 PM EST like usual. Also I'm looking for one or more people that would be willing to organize sc2 nights on weeks when I might be doing shit (like this week I won't be around at all during the weekend, when we would normally have a sc2 night).
