He can be good in some games, but yeah, he's usually not top-tier. I don't mind him not having a lot of damage in SFxTK or slow walk speed, but Capcom was really lazy in designing him.
There's a serious lack of a lot of signature Yoshimitsu moves like Door Knocker, Running Flea, etc. Flea Stance in general seems worthless and he's missing Indian Stance or any sort of Helicopter shenanigans. Suicide is completely neutered, on both sides of the damage, which makes it less fun to use.
Basically, Yoshimitsu isn't just bad, he's boring. Capcom saw it fit to give him some spin moves, the windmill, teleports, and nothing else. Perhaps it was too hard to work in all of his gimmicks, but Lei has most of his stances, so who knows? I just hope they didn't see him as Namco's Dan and threw him to the side. It's unacceptable that most of the DLC is already more complete than one of Tekken's most recognizable characters.
