arguments w/ gar:
person: "thing is bad"
gar: "actually, you idiot, thing is good"
person: "but thing is bad because [1]"
gar: "actually, none of that is true. thing [2]"
(descend into slapping, optional 'coolguy mode' where coolguy will come write huge posts that end with a realization that everyone involved agrees with eachother)
someone says "thing" is bad and defines said "thing" by negative trait [1]. gar then insists that "thing" is actually not the traits in [1], its the positive traits in [2]. for example, "damn i hate far right fundie christians. they obstruct the evolution of science" "NO dude. they dont. they actually donate money to science. the ones who obstruct it most are liberal center/center-right atheist christna blah blah convolutied reason"
technically both parties are right; people in texas with manual labour jobs who dont commit crimes are indeed generally good people, and criminals from texas are generally not. but the argument cant die so there has to be debate over which group gets to call itself redneck
